Rainbow Sandals was established in 1974 in the city of San Clemente, California, but started by Jay Longley Jr. making only a handful of pairs per day out of the garage of his Laguna Beach home. Ever since the Rainbow brand has become synonymous with quality and are now known world wide for their durable, long lasting sandals. Rainbow sandal wearers have become a loyal bunch, once purchased and experienced, no other sandal will do.

Rainbow sandals first hit the scene at the Sawdust Festival in Laguna Beach in the summer of 1974 and word quickly spread. Rainbow quickly moved out of the Laguna Beach garage into bigger quarters just south down Pacific Coast Hwy to the city of San Clemente, California to keep up with the demand.

Rainbow sandals are so incredibly durable, that the only reason to own a second pair, is to change up the color on occasion. While Rainbow is world renowned for their leather sandals, they also offer a variety of other sandals built from various uppers, all using parachute stitching and are all hand made.
